La serie anime fue producida por Toei Animation en 1974 a trav\u00e9s Fuji Television.<\/p>\n<p>Getter Robot es considerado pionero en el concepto de m\u00e1quinas separadas capaces de integrarse entre s\u00ed para formar un superrobot, g\u00e9nero llamado de manera popular como mecha.<\/p>\n<p>El autor Go Nagai (tambi\u00e9n creador de Mazinger Z, Devilman y Cutie Honey) y Ken ISHIKAWA son sus autores. En 1974 ver\u00eda la luz el primer tomo de Getter Robot, que conten\u00eda innovaciones narrativas nunca antes vistas en un manga.<\/p>\n<p>Los protagonistas son tres adolescentes que practican artes marciales: Ryoma Nagare, Hayato Jin y Musashi Tomoe. Luchan para defender a la humanidad del Imperio Reptiliano, un reino conformado por descendientes de los reptiles que sobrevivieron a la extinci\u00f3n viviendo bajo tierra y desean conquistar el mundo.
